A DOUBTING MIND

A Doubting mind is like a wave of the sea blown and tossed by the wind. James chp 1 vs 5-7.
A Doubting mind will not believe until it sees or touches.
A Doubting mind is not steadfast.
A Doubting mind places priority on the report of man rather than the report of the lord.

CONSEQUENCES OF DOUBT

1. Doubt makes God hide his face from the doubtful fellow. Deut. 32 vs 20
2. Doubt sinks a man in the storm of life. Matt 14:28-30
3. Doubt makes a man miss God's provision for his life. Num. 13:27-33
4. Doubt produces worry
5. Doubt produces fear
6. Doubt is sin.

HOW TO CONTROL DOUBT

1. Stand in faith
2. keep your gaze from anything capable of breeding doubt, fear and unbelief.
3. feed on the word of God daily. Heb 10:23
4. keep your focus on the word of God. prov 4: 20-23

Mathew 14:23-33
Faith made peter walk on water but doubt made him to sink.
Doubt makes the storm/wind look boisterous but faith makes it to calm/cease. Doubt is like a cover which may not allow someone to see Christ in a storm but faith opens the eyes to discover that the lord is near.
